Sudden cardiac death: opportunities and ways of prevention

On May 25-26, 2017 on the basis of HI “Grodno Regional Clinical Cardiology Center” in Gomel the Republican research and practical conference “Sudden cardiac death: opportunities and ways of prevention”.

Leading experts from Republic of Belarus, Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Croatia took part in work of the conference. The conference was intended for cardiologists, aritmolog and roentgen-endovascular surgeons.

Within this conference were carried out an educational course on cardiostimulation, implantable cardioverter defibrillators and resynchronizing devices according to the European recommendations, a master class “Ablation of ventricular arrhythmia from the right ventricular outflow tract”, a round table “Anticoagulant therapy – way on reduction of mortality and dismal prognosis at atrial fibrillation”.
Topical issues of prevention of sudden death, therapy with implantable devices, indications for a pacemaker, stimulation modes were discussed at the conference; possibilities of Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) in reverse of atrial fibrillation, anti-thrombotic therapy for prevention of failures at atrial fibrillation, possibilities of physiological stimulation. The recommendations of EHRA/ESC in our “east” realities and the clinical importance of the EHRA recommendations.

The colleagues exchanged experience of interaction with international organizations and discussed ways of improvement of practical and theoretical skills with international support. Discussion of issues of modern treatment methods of rhythm disturbance at the Republican conference will allow to develop organizational and practical decisions for health care of our country.
